Teaching-track Faculty Position Available!

The Ray and Stephanie Lane Center for Computational Biology at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor to be appointed through the University's Teaching Faculty track.  The appointee's primary duties will be to teach laboratory courses in biological research methods at the undergraduate and graduate levels, especially a course in Laboratory Methods for Computational Biologists that is a core course of the Joint Carnegie Mellon-University of Pittsburgh Ph.D. Program in Computational Biology.  Responsibilities include teaching introductory lectures, supervision of laboratory sessions, and coordination of lectures and laboratory sessions with other faculty.  Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or equivalent.  Experience in teaching laboratory courses is preferred, and experience with automated laboratory equipment and fluorescence methods is desirable.
